Edward F. Hoard is a 1966 graduate of The College of the Holy Cross with a Bachelor of Science in Economics/Accounting and a minor in Philosophy/Theology and received a Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School in 1969. He was awarded a Master of Laws (Taxation) by Boston University Law School in 1977

Attorney Hoard was admitted to the practice of law in Massachusetts in 1969; the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts in 1978; the United States Supreme Court in 1978; and, the United States Tax Court in 1985.

After serving as a volunteer in the Federal VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) program after graduating from law school Attorney Hoard was employed as a Tax Specialist for a major public accounting firm for several years. Upon leaving public accounting, he joined a law firm in downtown Boston specializing in tax and estate planning and estate administration. For over twenty-five years he has concentrated his practice in those areas.

Attorney Hoard is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and has served as a trustee or a director of various local non-profit organizations.
